Berlin, Jan. 29. The city of Anclam, as well as that of Demmin, belonging to the Swedes, surrendered to our army, and the inhabitants were made prisoners of war.

General Dohna drove Austrians out of Saxony then returned to act against Swedes in Pomerania. On Jan. 1, appeared before Damgarten, which surrendered after resistance, garrison retired with honors not to serve for a year. Army pursued, Tribsees garrison and succours retreated. Advanced to capture Richtenberg, Grimme, Greifswalde; Swedes retreated from camp to Stralsund cannon. In six days, reconquered most of Swedish Pomerania, enemy sought fortress protection. Dohna to besiege Stralsund with de Manteuffel. On Jan. 29, Anclam and Demmin surrendered to Prussian army, inhabitants prisoners.
