T-33 JET TRAINER WAS HERE FOR ARMED FORCES DAY

On Armed Forces Day a T-33 jet trainer was at the Nome Airport where many interested persons took advantage of the occasion to see the plane. Lt. Finnegan put the plane through its tricks during the afternoon, for the enjoyment of all who watched it, although it was cold and windy.

The jet was from the 5070th out of Elmendorf. It was reported that while the ship was here, the local field was checkout for possibly basing four to six such planes here during the summer.
