Grant Request For Negro Committee To Probe New High School Site
Charleston, S. C. (ANP) -- A request by Negro citizens of Richmond county that a Negro committee be permitted to investigate available locations for selection of a site on which the proposed new Negro high school is to be erected was granted here last week by the county board of education. The request was made at meeting of the board, to which Negroes attended, where architects outlined tentative plans for concentrating one of two grammar schools into a modern high school plant.
