Baptists are going to save college for the Baptist.
glad, the Rev. W. M. Hall corresponding secretary Georgia group at the Baptist State Convention, told this writer Sunday.
He stated that a call would be issued in a few days to all churchmen in Georgia, asking them to aid in such a movement.
Dr. Hall added that definite plans are being made to save the college, even if his faction fails to get cooperation from the North Georgia group of Baptists.
"Failure to redeem Central City college will be a disgrace on every Baptist in the state," he declared.
Dr. Hall revealed that he was not bitter at all toward the North Georgia Baptist group. He said that the faction supplying the money should be the leaders.
It was understood that a Mr. Porter, white, who is in possession of the college, plans that it remain a colored institution.
