immense and exceedingly profitable travel; future rail connection from paris to berlin through brussels in four years
Event Details
No country of Europe has profited so much by railroads as Belgium. Its populous and prosperous territory is traversed by them in all directions; and they are admirably conducted. The travelling upon them is immense and exceedingly profitable, both to the people and to the proprietors. The fatness of the country and the proximity of the principal towns, are, of course, eminently favorable circumstances. In four years, it is stated, travellers will be able to go from Paris to Berlin, through Brussels, by railroad.
