HOLTVILLE. June 7.— Commencement exercises for the largest graduating class in the history of Holtville Union high school were held Friday evening when diplomas were awarded to 39 seniors. The exercises were held in the grammar school auditorium beginning at 8 o'clock.
The members of the graduating class are as follows: Willis Bailey, Paul Bellamy, Arthur James Connolly, Delma Margaret Denny, Ernestine Edwards, John G. Jones. Belen Hernandez, Lucille Huebner, Dessa Lucille Jaudon, Elouise Jenks, Iris Johnson, Helen Kingsbury, Eau claire Lester, Goldie Larimore, F. Ray McClelland, Graydon Bannert, June and Lottie McQueen, Beth Melbourne, Viola Ole an Peck. Lois Phillips, Lillian Lyn nelle Rippv. Pearl Rudasill, Martha Ryerson, Linnie Frances Slaton, Edna Naomi Summers. Clarence Elmer Thiesen, Noval O. Walker, Violet Wells, Carrol Clinton Williams, Henrietta Woodv, Henry A. Woody. Robert Lewis Yeargin.
Six of the members are on the Scholarship Federation and had medals awarded. They are Paul Bellamy, Ernestine Edwards, Lucille Huebner, Helen Kingsbury, Beth Melbourne, Martha Ryerson.
The music for the evening was furnished by the high school orchestra and also by Arthur James Connolly. The valedictorian was Lucille Huebner, and Martha Ryerson was salutatorian.
