Durant, situated on the railroad in the southeast part of this county, is one of our most prosperous towns. Fifteen fine buildings have been erected within its corporate limits during the past summer, and several more are under contract. The only hotel in the place is owned and kept by A. Nesbit, Esq. He is now completing a large addition to the house, which will make it equal in size and convenience to any in this county. Mr. N. fully understands his business, and should receive a liberal patronage. The citizens of the place are displaying a disposition to improve the town, and at no distant day they will be rewarded for their labors by having a population equal to any village on the railroad.
