Firemen's Parade.—Two of our Engine Companies, Numbers four and six, were out last Thursday, not on duty, but for show, and paraded the streets in their neat uniform dresses, accompanied by the American Brass Band. They made a very fine display with their fire extinguishing apparatus, and the new engine, the Gazelle, attracted the particular regard of the admiring multitude. Their ranks were full of young, active, athletic and intelligent men, and every spectator felt a confidence and a laudable pride in having such citizens as protectors of the city against the ravages of fire. Both companies partook of a social repast, after their march, at the Tackwotten House.
