CONNECTICUT.

New Haven, July 13. Late Philadelphia papers mention, as an extraordinary circumstance, that a family in Maryland have upwards of two thousand silk worms at work. With pleasure and a degree of blameless pride we assure the public, that, upon a very moderate computation, more than one hundred and sixty thousand silk worms have been raised in this city this season. Mr. Nathaniel Aspinwall, the patron of the silk culture in this state, raised one hundred thousand of the before mentioned number, of which he alone took the whole care for a fortnight after they were hatched, and during the remaining four weeks of their growth had the assistance of only two men.
