SCHOOL NEWS

BEREAN SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST JUNIOR ACADEMY

The students of Berean Junior Academy are enjoying four sets of World Book Encyclopedia and Child Craft. The Field Representative spent several hours in grades three through six in class participation in the use of the books. The children were most enthusiastic.

In addition to the Encyclopedias, grades seven and eight are the happy recipients of a set of the state maps of the continent and world. Some of these gifts were made possible by a club consisting of seventh grade mothers.

Berean responded well to the drive for the community chest and in this recent campaign for the N. A. A. C. P. Approximately 200 boys and girls became members.

The Annual Spring Operetta which was held Thursday Night March 30 at the B. T. Washington High School was a tremendous success.
