JUNEAU--The largest group of applicants in the territory's history will take Alaska bar examinations next month, Atty. Gen. J. Gerald Williams. secretary of the Board of Bar Examiners, announced this week.
No less than 22 fledgling lawyers, most of them from Anchorage, Fairbanks, Ketchikan, Juneau and Nome, have applied to take the tests, which will be given at Juneau October 20-22.
Among the applicants are the entire-staff of the U.S. attorneys office at Anchorage, the U.S. attorneys at Nome and Fairbanks, and an assistant U.S. attorney at Juneau.
