A & T College asks $2 million building grant

GREENSBORO, N. C. - New buildings and other permanent improvements, to cost more than two-million dollars, were last week requested for A and T College.

College officials placed before the special Advisory Budget Commission of the State Legislature which visited the campus last week, requests for three-new buildings, one addition and general improvements and equipment, all to cost $2,047,623.

Included were: a student union building with equipment at a cost of $860,000; a new dormitory for girls with furniture and furnishings at $571,900; a rural engineering building with equipment at $125,000; an addition to the Technical Institute for additional space in instructing the masonry trades and equipment at $115,090.
