Full Text

New Memphis Theatre.—Clairvoyance was presented for the fourth time last evening, to an appreciative audience who frequently evinced their approbation of the play and the excellent acting of the company by well merited applause. Mr. Adams makes an admirable "Jean Van Baron," playing in such a life-like manner as to cause all auditors to acknowledge its naturalness. Messrs. Wheelock, Lanagan, Hubbard, Mrs. Lanagan and little Katie Gilbert, personate characters well calculated to exhibit their talents, and right well they fill them. The mechanical arrangements reflect great credit on Harry Drew, and the new scenery is worthy of the artistic brush of Gulick. To-night, on the occasion of Mr. Edwin Adams' benefit, Clairvoyance will be repeated for the last time. There will undoubtedly be a full house for Mr. Adams is quite popular with our theatre goers.
