TREASON TRIAL HAS 29 OF 156 LEFT IN DOCK

Cape Town, South Africa (ANP)—The four year old South African treason trial, which is expected to wind up its activities by Dec., has only 29 of its original 156 persons left to stand trial. If they can be successfully convicted, the government can theoretically bring what remains of the other 127 back for trial, and conviction. Some of those now free have died, others are in Bechuanaland, Swaziland, Basutoland, neighboring British protectorates, and in London, or other parts of Africa.
