We regret to record another melancholy occurrence from the haste of using deadly weapons.

On the 24th ult. an affray occurred about two miles from Macon, during which a lad was shot by another in the forehead over the right eye so as to injure the skull. The lad charged with the commission of the deed has been, after examination, committed for trial for an assault with intent to murder. The prisoner, it seems fired at a crowd, and a marble in his gun, given him by his wounded companion, caused the dangerous wound.—Georgia Constitutionalist.
