Full Text

The face of Nature has changed very much within a week. A succession of genial showers, and warm days have advanced vegetation surprisingly. The forests are in full dress; fruit trees in full bloom; the spring grain is coming up beautifully; and the grass, the great crop with us, gives great promise. The work of the spring has been very late, but we have reason to think there has been as much done as usual. We were told this morning, by a gentleman just in from the west, that vegetation here is in advance of Ohio. The accounts received of late years of western seasons, should be discouraging to those who propose going west to find warmer weather.
