MR. SOUTHWICK APPOINTED.

He Will Collect, Arrange and Revise the Ordinances of the City.

Under a joint resolution of the city council, passed on February 28 last, authorizing the mayor to appoint a commission to arrange, collect and revise the city ordinances, and also to collect and arrange such of the public laws as relate to the city of Providence, together with the rules of the Board of Aldermen, such revision to be subject to the approval of the city solicitor, Mayor Baker appointed Mr. Isaac H. Southwick as such commissioner. Mr. Southwick is to report to the city council on or before December 1, 1899.
