BLUE CREEK

Orris Abbott is the owner of a nice new Ford truck, purchased from the Fox Motor Co. of Blanchester.

Mrs. Mattie Tolle returned home last week from Watseka, Ill., having spent the winter in the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Naaman Tolle who accompanied her home.

Mrs. Elsie Jones, Mr. and Mrs. John Feazell and son David of Portsmouth, Mrs. A. R. Sorenson, (Olive Jones) and son Richard of Pittsburg, Pa., were Sunday afternoon visitors with their relatives, Mrs. F. E. Caraway and Mr. and Mrs. Elry Fields.

Mr. and Mrs. Charley Stout of West Union visited Sunday with his uncle Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Jones.

Mrs. Liza Evans spent Sunday with her daughter, Mrs. J. B. Manchester and family.

Mr. and Mrs. Clare Magnet of Portsmouth were all-night guests on Thursday of Mrs. Rachel Phipps and family.

Mrs. Harry Dunkin and children, spent a part of the week in the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Dunkin and family at West Union.

Mrs. Nancy Fields who was taken to Mercy Hospital, Portsmouth, Saturday, is reported a little better at this writing. She was accompanied by her husband and cousin, Miss Edith Maynard.

Mr. and Mrs. Klamo and children of Middletown, were week-end guests of their parents Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Hafer and Merle and Carl.

Mr. and Mrs. Roy Abbott and family and Mrs. W. J. Fite and Mary Ruth, were in attendance at the Carnival at West Union during the week.

G. W. Miranda who spent last week sight-seeing at the Worlds Fair in New York has returned home.

Dr. and Mrs. Pearl Pieper, veterinarian, of Peebles, motored thru the village Sunday afternoon, Dr. Pieper was a professional visitor at the David Riggs farm on Churn Creek.

Mr. and Mrs. Carl Colvin and daughter, Shirly Ann and Mrs. Colley of McDermott were visitors Sunday afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Colvin.

Orva Thompson of Rarden visited Sunday with his friend, Fred W. Evans and C. G. Layton and family.

Mrs. John Kennedy spent Friday and Saturday nights in the home of her brother Ord Evans and family.

Miss Ruth Evans who has been ill is reported some better at this writing.

Mr. and Mrs. Claude C. Colvin and Anna Lou and Ralph Carl were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Kratzer and Martha.

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Lewis and children motored to Sandy Springs Sunday in their new Ford sedan and spent the day with their relatives Mr. and Mrs. Harold Pell.

Miss Opal Jobe of Peebles is spending this week with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Hawkins.

Mrs. Bernice Layton and children, Fred Evans and Orva Thompson visited Sunday afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Rogers and daughter and Lou Ellen Evans at Rome.

Mr. and Mrs. Donald Caraway and children visited friends in Portsmouth Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. John Caraway spent the week-end with relatives in Middletown and Lebanon.

Mr. and Mrs. Tony Nichols and baby Danny spent the week-end with their father, Mr. W. H. Shively and son John.

The Camp Fire Girls and their Guardian, Mrs. Thelma Neil and husband departed Sunday for Lake White to spend a few days. They were accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Day who spent Sunday with them.

Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Peterson and family were guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Peterson and Dinah Lee.

Mr. and Mrs. Winifred Hafer accompanied by Mrs. Sarah Fite and daughter, were in attendance Sunday at the S. S. convention at Berea.
