Body Exposed For Several Days.

Fort Mill, Dec. 29. -The body of the negro Jim Reid, who was killed by Constable Hall a few miles east of here in Lancaster county a few days ago, lay for several days unburied, the negroes refusing to have anything to do with it. Finally they gave in and took charge of it when they found out that the remains were to be deposited in a field nearby. Reid resisted arrest with an axe and was shot through the heart. His offense was moving to Mecklenburg county and leaving some unpaid taxes. He was caught on the Bailes place, where the tragedy occurred Charlotte Chronicle.
