MATAMOROS, Mex., Nov. 3 - The repatriation of Mexican nationals from Texas at the rate of not less than 200 families a month will continue until the present term of President Lazaro Cardenas expires Dec. 1, 1940, as is provided for in the current program of the Mexican government, according to Ramon Beteta, Subsecretary of Foreign Relations.
Besides the return to Mexico of nearly 10,000 Mexicans from across the border and their establishment in colonies near Matamoros, State of Tamaulipas, and near El Salto, State of San Luis Potosi, a new colony will be located near Juarez, State of Chihuahua, it was stated by Beteta. All of these colonists are engaged in agricultural pursuits.
The Mexican government also has on its hands more than 5000 refugees from Spain, but it is taking care of its own nationals first, Beteta explained.
