Charged With Assaulting Boy.

Seneca Kan., May 30.-James Tomlinson of Corning was in Seneca Monday and filed a charge of assault with intent to kill against Frank Sears, proprietor of the Union Depot hotel at Goff, and James K. Andrews of Corning, upon his 17-year-old son, Orville. Sears and Andrews were arrested and brought to Seneca and released on $1,000 bond each to appear at the preliminary hearing June 5. The boy's skull was fractured and three ribs were broken. He was brought to his home Sunday night in this condition and did not regain consciousness until some time Monday. The defendants deny having assaulted the boy.
