Full Text

Insurrection at Little Rock

The pious mouthings of Gov. Orval Faubus that he is upholding the constitution of Arkansas by stationing National Guardsmen around the high school in Little Rock to maintain peace fool no one. The sole objective of the governor's action is to prevent Negroes from attending the school in defiance of a federal court order that they be accepted as students.

When the governor sets himself above the law he seeks to destroy the very cornerstone of our civilization.
