Leavenworth, Kan., Dec. 22.—(AP).—Jules (Nicky) Arnstein, a central figure in a $5,000,000 New York bond theft, was released from the Federal penitentiary here this morning.
Nicky left immediately from Kansas City, where he will board a train to Chicago, to meet his wife, Fannie A. Brice, starring there in the Music Box Revue. There was no one to meet him at the gates.
Arnstein was received at the Federal prison May 16, 1924, to serve two years for conspiracy. Seventy-two days have been taken off the sentence for good behavior.
Nicky, a distinguished looking man, with an aristocratic air, has been shoveling coal and ashes in the prison power plant for most of his confinement.
