BOSTON, June 29.

We have Advice from Nantucket that one of their whaling Vessels arrived there last Friday, which had been taken, in Lat. 38, by a French Privateer Sloop, of 12 Carriage Guns from Martinico, which they released after putting on board the People belonging to another Sloop they had taken... Luce Mater, almost loaded with Oil, which they afterwards burnt. They say they came out with three others, which they expected would be on the Coast thereabouts... The Day after they had taken these Vessels, they came up with a Letter of Marque Bermudian Ship, which after a smart Engagement, beat them off, the Boatswain of the Privateer being killed, and 6 or 7 wounded; upon which several other Whalemen escaped.
