WASHINGTON CITY.
WEDNESDAY, FEB. 25, 1801.

FURTHER NOMINATIONS,
By the President of the United States.

Thomas Bee of South Carolina, to be Chief Judge.

John Sitgreaves of North Carolina, and Joseph Clay of Georgia to be Judges in the fifth Circuit of the United States.

6th Circuit.

William M'Clung of Kentucky, to be a Circuit Judge in the Sixth circuit of the United States.

Jacob Read Senator from South Carolina, to be judge of that district in the place of Judge Bee.

William H. Hill, member of the House of Representatives from North Carolina to be Judge of that District in place of Judge Sitgreaves.

Samuel Blackburn to be attorney for the Western District of Virginia.

Robert Grattan of Staunton Va. to be Marshal of the Western District of Virginia.

Thomas Gray of the District of East Tennessee to be Marshal of the said District.

Charles I. Porter of the district of East Tennessee to be Marshal of said District.

William Pitt Beers of Albany to be attorney of the United States for the district of Albany.

James Dole of Troy in district of Albany to be Marshal of that District.

James Cole Mountflorence to be commercial agent for the United States at Paris.

We understand that these nominations have all been confirmed by the Senate, as well as those inserted in our paper of Friday. The Senate divided on most of them,

The following motion was made by Mr. Bayard, and ordered to lie on the table the 21st. Instant.
