Man Being Held On Arson Charge

A 56-year-old man, who police quoted as saying he sat down to cook his dinner in a shack adjoining the Atlanta Band Mill Co, late Friday, was being held on suspicion of Arson Saturday while fire department officials probed a heavy fire in the huge structure, police said.

Hardwick Harris, 56, 220 Central Ave, S. W. was arrested Friday night after the fire spread to the mill at Rockwell St., Ptl. R. J. Stephens and G. D. Adams reported.

Police said Harris was ordered held by the Fire Department officials after he was discovered near the scene in an intoxicated condition. They said he admitted starting a fire to cook his dinner.
