With today's speedy methods of communication, material developments and
President Roosevelt's noble attempt to lead the nation back into prosperity.
one must read to be well informed. Those who do not peruse every issue
of their publications soon find themselves hopelessly lost in the maze of
new developments.

It is obvious that a Negro must read a Negro newspaper to keep well informed.
Only in our own papers can we get a complete picture of all the
activities of the race as well as the effect of new federal edicts on people
of color. To keep you well informed, no paper can do so better than this
published just for you.
