COMMON SENSE.

PHILADELPHIA. Jan. 7.

PENNSYLVANIA LEGISLATURE.

It is with pride and particular satisfaction, that we announce that on Friday last the following resolution was adopted in the House of Representatives of this state,

AYES 69.--NOES 20.-Our attentive correspondent, has by some mistake neglected to forward us the Ayes and Nays. We shall have them in a day or two.--Dem. Press.

Resolved, by the senate and house of representatives of the commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in general assembly met, That the senators from this state in the senate of the United States be, and they are hereby instructed, and the representatives of this state in the house of representatives of the United States be, and they hereby are requested, to use every exertion in their power to prevent the charter of the Bank of the United States from being renewed, or any other bank from being chartered by congress, except it shall be specially provided in the charter, that the bank shall be established and remain within the District of Columbia
