The Little Kanawha Lumber Company Burned Out.
PARKERSBURG, W. Va., Oct. 5. - West's mill, formerly the Little Kanawha Lumber company's plant, one of the largest industries in the Little Kanawha valley, took fire Tuesday morning in the dry house and was almost totally destroyed. The boiler and engine house, the planing mill and dry house are all in ashes. One hundred men are thrown out of employment and the total loss will aggregate $25,000; insured for $15,000. The cause of the fire is a mystery. The watchman left the building a few minutes before the fire was discovered, and when he returned the whole building was in flames. This company sustained a heavy loss by fire two weeks ago near Portsmouth, O.
