The grand national objects, which, it is said, his Majesty and the present Ministry have in contemplation are:

1. To maintain the true honor of the Crown inviolate: as by law established.

2. To reduce the national debt, and lessen the burthens of the poor as much as possible.

3. To give the utmost freedom to trade and support to the merchants.

4. To maintain a proper naval establishment, and the ancient dignity of the British flag.

5. To consider affectionately, and in the most cool and unprejudiced manner, the claims of Ireland, and generously to grant whatever may promote the true happiness, the honor of so gallant a people, and the mutual confidence of both countries.

6. To investigate, free from all party considerations, the affairs of the honorable East India Company, and to promote its true interest.

7. To attend with vigilance, and pursue with ardour, every object productive of prosperity to the people.
