Mrs. John Kennedy Judson Doesn't Like Her Nickname; Drops The 'Ma'
SEATTLE, July 1. (U.P)
"Mrs. John Kennedy Judson."
That's her name now, and she doesn't want to be called "Ma" any more.
The former Mrs. Minnie "Ma" Kennedy. mother of Aimee Semple McPherson. was discovered lunching in a hotel cafe today with her new husband. the Rev. John Hudson, New York evangelist.
It was the first time they had exposed themselves to public view since they were married in Longview, Wash., Saturday night, and hurried to secrete themselves and escape publicity.
Mrs. Judson told newspapermen that the few days I have been married have been the happiest I ever had."
She objected to being called "Ma."
"From now on you are forgetting the 'Ma.' My name is Mrs. John Kennedy Judson, and I think I have the finest husband in the world."
Rev. Hudson declined to talk. saying he had a severe cold and "felt miserable."
When reporters approached their table. he jumped up and darted out of the cafe through a side door. He at first denied his identity. but later admitted that he was the groom.
