St. John's (in Antigua) Sept. 22.

We hear from English Harbour, that the Packet is arrived at Guadaloupe, and that he brings an Account of the Prussians having not only defeated the Russian Army, but also that the King of Prussia had entirely defeated the great Army of Austria commanded by Marshal Daun; and that immediately afterwards he ordered a large Detachment from the Army commanded by his Brother Prince Henry, to join Prince Ferdinand of Brunswick; who, by this Means, was enabled to fight the French Army under M. de Contades, and had gained a Victory over them, so complete, that scarce a Body of 800 Frenchmen were to be found together. These Accounts are related here with such Circumstances of Probability, that they are generally believed, and we hope to have them confirmed by the Arrival of the Packet this Evening or To-morrow.

The above Account, Capt. Topham directly from Antigua, favour'd us with: To which we add the following, communicated by a Gentleman who came with Capt. Topham, and we leave our Readers to dispute the Probability of It: That the Prussians lost 11,000, and the Austrians 30,000: That before the Battle was decided, the Ammunition on both Sides, was expended; after which, they contended for Victory with Pikes, Bayonets, &c. which terminated in Favour of the Prussians, who entirely defeated the Austrians.
