Pearl St. Church In Quarterly Conference

The Pearl Street A. M. E. Church held its first Quarterly Conference for the year Sunday and Monday, December 14-15 with the new presiding elder, Rev. Potis, presiding.

Rev. Potis brought an inspiring message Sunday and Monday night. He based his topic on the first verse of the 133 Psalm, "Behold how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity."

Receipts for the conference were as follows: Church dues, $158.68; Extravaganza Tea, $658.80; Sis Lizzie Bracey, $200.00. Total raised $1,021.59. Rev. R. M. Stephen, pastor; Rev. Potis, presiding elder; Sis. Lucile Calhoun, reporter.
