State Seeks Bids
On Bonus Bonds

Montana last week began advertising a $15,000,000 bond issue to raise funds for the veterans' honorarium fund.

The advertisement, placed by Montana board of examiners, set March 10 as the deadline for bids on the issue. It said $11,000,000 of the bonds will mature in annual installments of $550,000 each February from 1953 to 1972 and $4,000,000 in term bonds will mature Feb. 1, 1982.

The bonds will be redeemed from receipts of the special cigarette tax. State examiners voted recently to advertise the loan, the first part of a total issue to raise $22,000,000 despite disapproval of a voluntary credit restraint group representing many bond houses.
