Zeigler Expedition Being Fitted Out and Will Probably Leave Some Time in June.
New York, April 27.—Anthony Fiala, who is to head the Ziegler Arctic expedition, has arrived from Southampton. Mr. Fiala went abroad about a month ago to look over the ground and to see to the purchasing of supplies, and he now returns to consult Mr. William Ziegler. Speaking of his trip, Mr. Fiala said:
"We expect to get off some time in June. The ice broke up early and the prospects of the expedition are good. The America was sent down from Tromsoe to Trondheim under her own steam. She is being cleaned, new decks put in and other repairs being made. The America will sail as soon as she is ready, but I cannot give the date."
