HOLTVILLE, May 7.—One of the annual events at the Holtville elementary school is the hobby show put on by the students under the sponsorship of the Parent-Teacher association.
The show will be open to the public next Wednesday morning with entries due Monday. No entries will be accepted after Tuesday noon, as exhibits will be judged that afternoon.
Holtville P.-T.A. will meet Wednesday afternoon, 2:30 o'clock, in the kindergarten room, the meeting having been set ahead one week as the following week the district convention in San Bernardino is to be held.
These district conventions are replacing the state convention this year since difficulties of transportation and of rationing make it difficult for any city to accommodate the hundreds who attend a state gathering. Many Valley women will attend the San Bernardino gathering.
