He Isn't Attending to Business-Has Confidence in His Managers.
BY ASSOCIATED PRESS.
London, July 26.-A representative of the Associated Press this morning at Rannoch Lodge, on Loch Rannoch, Scotland, obtained an audience with Andrew Carnegie regarding the troubles at Homestead, Pa., and the shooting of Mr. Frick, the Chairman of the Carnegie Steel Company.
Mr. Carnegie said: "I authorize you to make the following statement: I have not attended to business for the past three years, but I have implicit confidence in those who are managing the mills. Further than that I have nothing to say."
Mr. Carnegie daily receives many cable despatches giving the fullest particulars of Mr. Frick's condition. It is very evident that he has no intention of returning to America at the present time.
