"AN ESTEEMED CORRESPONDENT."

The Cincinnati Chronicle of Jan. 10th says it has "An esteemed Correspondent in East Tennessee" who feeling that certain affairs in his State have not been sufficiently understood by outsiders takes upon himself the task of diffusing a knowledge of them. This information is a stupendous mass of falsehoods. We strongly suspect that this "esteemed correspondent" is a citizen of Washington county and if we are correct in the conjecture we can inform the Chronicle, it has a much higher opinion of him than our people who have known his rascalities for years. He is perfectly irresponsible in word, bankrupt in character and money, a swindler and imposter. If the Chronicle is not desirous of patronage in this locality, it has only to admit the contributions of its "esteemed correspondent" and let it be known that he is he and it will not be troubled with any drafts or postal orders from this section.
