Coolidge Future Farmers went to Tucson yesterday, where they attended the annual Future Farmer State Convention.
There were 31 schools represented one for each vocational educational department in the state.
To Wilbur Wuertz, winner in the district public speaking contest goes the honor of representing the South Salt River Valley Federation in the state contest.
This event will be held at one o'clock today. An honor banquet will be held tonight for all Future Farmers, sponsors of each group, and the vocational educational officials.
L. D. Klemmedson, supervisor of vocational education in Arizona, will address the boys at the banquet.
An outstanding feature of the convention is the judging contests in which each school competes. Coolidge chapter is entering 5 judging teams—dairy, live-stock, poultry, agronomy and shop.
During the last month the boys have been doing intensive work in judging in preparation for this event.
