Extract of a LETTER.
Two general congresses are to be held in America the ensuing fall, of the governors of the northern colonies at Albany, and of the Southern at Augusta, and the chiefs of the several nations or tribes of Indians: whence 'tis hoped every thing will be settled with those people, to the entire satisfaction and for the future security of both parties.
His Excellency governor Boone, we hear, has proposed the 15th of September next for the congress at Augusta; and expects £.5000 sterling from England, in presents for the Indians, to be continued annually, which it is wished may answer the end proposed.
