EAST END WANTS
CAR LINE EXTENDED
SECTION HAS BUILT UP SO RAPIDLY THAT TROLLEY SERVICE IS A NECESSITY, SAY RESIDENTS

The East End addition to San Antonio has been building up so fast in the past year that the property owners there will soon petition the traction company for an extension of the South Heights line from its present terminus to the Bem brick yard.

The citizens of East End argue that a street car service is needed and would pay, because for a distance of six or eight blocks the addition is thickly populated and a great many employees of the brick yard reside in various parts of the city.

H. M. Littell, general manager of the traction company, when questioned this morning about the extension at East End, said that an inspection of the territory would be made and if the conditions warranted, the line would be extended.
