Mexico.—We have received by the mail New Orleans papers to the 24th ult. They contain nothing from Mexico worthy notice. The country is as badly off as ever. The administration of Bustamente is attacked, as all other administrations have been in Mexico. The equivocal resignation of Guerrero is not yet understood; and he is charged with being at the head of the opponents of Bustamente. In addition to the law prohibiting foreigners from acquiring landed property, another was passed on the 26th January to prevent them from selling by retail, or trading as brokers, and compelling all the retailers to shut up their shops within 90 days after the promulgation of the law. The declamations copied in the Bee, from the Mexican papers of the 13th February, are but sorry bombast in their original, and would be still sadder sludge in a translation.
