Private Ernest J. Moreau, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Moreau of 75 Woodbridge Avenue, is a veteran truck driver of 18 months service in North Africa and Italy with a crack aviation engineer regiment.

Their slogan, "Expect Anything," these driving GI's are the backbone of the engineer command, whose responsibility it is to build and maintain the many air bases for Allied air power.

With long hours, totaling thousands of miles driving distances over French Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia and Italy behind them, drivers like Moreau have contributed a vital service in the all-out battle against Nazi tyranny.

Employed by the Savol Chemical Company of Park Avenue prior to his entry into the service in September, 1942, Moreau wears two campaign stars on his European-African-Middle East theater ribbon and has also been awarded the Good Conduct Medal.
