ASKS THREE MILLION

Lansing—AP—Wayne University needs $3,000,000 from the state for a laboratory building and a classroom building if it is to continue to educate 20,000 or more metropolitan-area students a year, Governor Kelly was informed Tuesday. Receiving the proposal from Dr. David D. Henry, president, and Arthur Neef, provost, Kelly asked them to secure from the Detroit Board of Education, which controls the school, an opinion on the desirability of giving the state some voice in its administration, or of turning the institution over to the state entirely.
