Anti-Masonic Candidate for the Presidency.--The statement of the New York Courier, that John Quincy Adams is to be nominated, as a candidate for the Presidency, by the National Anti-Masonic Convention, to be held at Baltimore, in October next, accords with some information which we recently received on the same subject. It is in contemplation, as we learn, to nominate, at the Convention referred to, Mr. Adams, if he will consent, and, if not, either Judge McLean or Mr. Webster, should either of them consent. If the State of New York should give her forty votes for the Anti-Masonic candidate, (and the Anti-Masons are confident that she will,) Jackson cannot have a majority of the electoral votes. The election, then devolving on Congress, may result in the choice of Mr. Clay, or of the Anti-Masonic Candidate.

Nomination.--The Lancaster (Pa.) Examiner designates Francis Granger, of New York, as qualified in all respects to be taken up by the Convention, as the Anti-Masonic candidate for the Presidency.

The New York Courier states John Quincy Adams is to be nominated as Anti-Masonic presidential candidate at the National Anti-Masonic Convention in Baltimore in October. If Adams declines, Judge McLean or Mr. Webster may be nominated. Anti-Masons confident New York will give 40 votes to their candidate, preventing Jackson majority and devolving election to Congress, possibly choosing Clay or Anti-Masonic. Lancaster Examiner designates Francis Granger of New York as qualified candidate.
