Ovation to an 'Assistant Murderess.'

[DUNLAP CABLE NEWS SPECIAL.]

PARIS, Feb. 12.—Gabrielle Bompard, the extraordinary young woman who has been called the 'Assistant Murderess' in the shocking Gouffe tragedy, has returned from a visit to Lyons, where she received an ovation of no ordinary character.

She is, of course, in the custody of the police, who desired to take her to view the several localities to which, according to her story of the crime, the murderer, Eyraud, carried the trunk containing the body of Gouffe.

At the Lyons station on her departure the young woman stood at the window of the railway carriage and graciously returned the salutations of a great crowd of people. Several of the more enthusiastic actually kissed her hand, while a party of young men presented her with a bouquet of exotics and a package of cold chicken.
