Full Text

Mme. Curie Gets Gay.

Mme. Curie has begun to prink. Curling irons now give waviness to her hair, which used to be dressed as if she were about to take a dip in the sea without a bathing cap. There is some jet embroidery on the gimp that garnishes the empirement of her blouse corsage and the cuffs. The collar of white lace pieces of tape, joined by means of some sort of openwork and forming a short glove to replace by a collar of black guipure that merely surrounds the neck slightly and long watch chain gold slightly enhances the dark dress. It is fastened half way to the waist by a large pearl serving as a clasp. The faint Parisianism of chain, gimp and waved hair is far from unbecoming to the savante.—Paris Letter.
