NEW BAIT FOR BLACK BASS.
It is a Real Mouse, and the Fish Snap at It Greedily.
To that big class of artificial fish bait that embraces artificial flies, spinners, rubber insects and many other lures there have been added several new and attractive devices. Oddest of all these is a mouse, life size and covered with real mouse skin. This bait has proven almost irresistible in the waters of the rapacious but particular black bass wherever it has been cast so far. The soft rubber frog, with its wicked trio of hooks, is familiar but the "ghost," the newest aluminum spinner, is a distinct novelty. This is a box-like affair, made of the light metal and provided with four propeller blades that make it spin and shine in the eyes of the lurking bass.
