Last Year's Miss America To Wed

DENVER - Sharon Kay Ritchie, who as an 18-year-old college student became Miss America of 1956, will marry Don Cherry, 32, singer and amateur golfer tonight.

Miss Ritchie, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Ritchie of Grand Island, Neb., will wear the gown in which she crowned her successor, Marian Ann McKnight of

The former Colorado Women's College student also will wear her own Miss America crown.

Now 19, Miss Ritchie met Cherry, one of the country's leading amateur golfers, while making a personal appearance in his home town, Wichita Falls, Tex.
