Christmas was very dull in this section as every family has several sick with flu. Mr. Jim Rogers and Miss Hattie Rogers have been very sick. Also Mrs. W. C. Rogers, Ione and son William Rogers, Mrs. J. L. Ellenburg and Mrs. J. T. Stokes. Hope they will all soon be all right. Carl Myers and children of Railway came down to spend the Christmas holidays with Mr. Jim Myers and family but on account of sickness spent only a short time. J. L. Williams of Greenville spent a few days with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mack Williams. Mrs. J. F. Rogers entertained Sunday for her brother, Mr. Roy Hodge, who was married Tuesday, December 18 to Miss Sarah McMahan of Winston-Salem, N.C. Mr. Lawrence Burton and brother Logan, and Otis Ellenburg, of Ga., are visiting Mr. and Mrs. S. S. Ellenburg. Mr. Frank Hasting of Greenwood is visiting Mr. S. S. Ellenburg. Mr. and Mrs. R. R. Price and family spent Monday in Iva with Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Price. Raymond Price of Greenville spent Monday night with his brother, Mr. Ross Price. Mr. and Mrs. Ozie Ellenburg and children spent Tuesday with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mack Williams.
